Today was the awesomest.

Went to school to meet R for a HT consultation, in which she gave me ideas, homework and reassurance—that was pretty good. even if the reason she got assigned me still eludes me..

Anyways. After that it was only 12.30, so I bummed around, watched an ep of Firefly, then decided to go watch a movie. Swooshed down to PS—after finally paying my Singtel bill—and got a ticket for Couples Retreat (why is the title so ungrammatical?? is it just me?? shouldn’t it be Couples’ Retreat????), got a BOOST juice and went in to watch the movie. It was pretty good, kinda exactly what it advertises to be—dysfunctional (romantic) humour. The only parts I didn’t really like were the beginning and the end. The beginning cos they squashed on my favourite part of the movie-going experience, which is the part where the movie studio ‘ads’ come on, especially cos it was a Universal picture—the dubbed this funky-tune song over the orchestral daaaa-daaa-dummm! of the Universal Studios globe-thingy… *mutters*

I mean, ok, I know it sounds silly and about as deep as..like, a kiddie pool, but I really like that first, lights-dimmed-to-dark, music-swelling, the-feature-is-starting moment. And I was really happy when I saw the first little sliver of golden light creeping up the blue of the globe: a moment of silence, then! the music swells! But no. It was some funky, indie, boogie song.

But yeah, ok. That wasn’t a biggie. But the ending, kinda felt..meh-ish.

Anyhoosie. After that I took the train to City Hall, bought myself a salad and slice of Chocolate Truffle Cake from Cedele, and came home to eat my dinner over more TV.

It was a great day.

Omg I can’t wait for Thursday 3pm to get here.

Cannot wait for these exams to be over. Not that I’ve been studying my arse off or anything this time, but it just feel like it’s been dragging out for-ev-er, and I just want it to end already.

The semester’s been awesome, but I really can’t wait for the hols to get here.

Decided not to work this time around—I actually came out and said ‘no, thanks.’ I did! Buttt. Now the lure of the money is singing to me again. Damn my wandering, consumerist eyes. So far am doing my best to resist. The thought of a holiday with no work—no work!—is really really reallllly a very pleasant one, I must say. And really, I guess it’s the last December hols I’ll have where I could not-work. Besides, am really quite excited (albeit in a very vague and theoretical way) about the impeding HT. awesome.

Anyways, IT exam tmr, in which I am really just aiming for a C/C+, Wals on Thurs, then it’s party time! Coming home to throw a shepherd’s pie together for Fri’s LOTR extended marathon, then heading out again for drinks! Good plan.

I think it’s going to be a good way to end the semester—haven’t been out drinking in ages. Seriously, I’ve been really good this semester—no life at all la. sad. So anyway, this Thursday! Can’t wait!

Now back to Dual-Channel DDR SDRAM. whoopee.

I feel like I’m on a safari..

oh my GOD. i don’t know how they do it, but Glee gets better and better each week!

Every week for the past month or so I’ve been LOVING the episodes, and once it’s over I have immediate and sharp “need to get next episode. now.”-ness, followed by “crap. how are they going to top this one?? stop being so great! you can’t sustain this momentum!”-ness (and yes, that’s how you use momentum). And the following week, before I start watching, I’m a simultaneously excited/hyped up, and trying to keep my expectations to a normal level. And then by the end of the episode I’m all WOOHOO! AWESOME!!! again. And so the cycle repeats, but only at higher levels of awesomeness and excitement each week.

This week’s episode was so totally great la. want to say more, but shan’t, cos some people haven’t watched yet. but wow.

Only the studio versions have been somewhat rar-ish the past few weeks. It seems when the song is great on the show it’s only okay on the itunes released studio versions..this week’s one is a bit of a letdown.

Glee producers! If you read this: the show ROCKS! let’s make the studio versions of the songs rock as much okay!

Having Korea and 19C over is really quite a relief. Sadly, I think I really fucked up the 19C paper. First time in recent memory I really just—threw crap at the question and hoped it stuck. SIGH.

But robs was really nice about it. Not the screwing up part, of course, but just in general.

the sem’s pretty much over, and I’m really really just going to miss Hons year so much when it’s all over. As KQ said, we really do need to just hang on to every single minute.

In other news, feeling a bit deflated by the HTsupe assignments, feels like almost everyone got a bit of a weird fit..not sure where the whole firefly thing is going to go now, feeling increasingly doubtful as to the viability of the whole enterprise, but still hoping for the best.

Paper’s due in 24hrs 38mins, and I just got my topic straightened out in my head.

sometimes i really just don’t know what to say.

in life, and on paper. seeing someone wallow in self-sadness-ness makes me feel bad for awhile, but then after some time it just irks me. robs was telling us the other day about how he’d been Depressed for years, and i’m just like, look what he’s achieved despite that. we’re all fucked up. everyone’s life sucks. but seriously. if you’re just gonna..wallow.

i want to help, but if you don’t want to be helped i’m not going to stick around and watch the house burn down.

sometimes all i can think to do is just disengage and walk away.

cos, really. at the risk of sounding callous (then again, when do i not, really?), i have more important things to stress about. or rather, i have things to stress about that will actually benefit from my stressing out over them.

rar. ok. more pointless ramble.

i’m just annoyed. nothing seems to be going right.

i need my zing. i also need about 24 solid hours of sleep.

(and really, although my blogposts of late prolly testify to the opposite, i’m really really really loving Honours year. I really love R and KQ. (even thought they’re not going to see this…). i’m just really loving this year. all the mods, even W’s have been at least some sorta fun (with the very big, pimply exception of ledouchay’s of course), if not super fun. Robs and even AK’s have been damn awesome, and I’m really sad to know that half of this awesome year is almost over. Totally looking forward to next semester, though. it’s going to be legen- wait for it…..)

Went to ion like a month ago, and saw a gorgeous bag in the YSL window, but didn’t have time to go in. Went there again for dinner with my mother, and this time went into the store. OH. MY. GOD. It’s FANTASTIC. Grey leather, thick, rich, buttery, on the outside, deep luscious black suede lining inside, plus two straps—long for messenger style and short for tote wear. OH GOD!

And it’s only $3170. I figure with work I’ve pretty much got $1000plus, so I just need to find another 2k. i want the bag oh mannnnnnn. SIGH. It’s pretty damn hard to find a picture of it online, although browsing the ysl website is no torture, for sure.

last night/this morning was totally awesome.

but well. last night/this morning was still awesome. don’t think i’ve laughed so much while writing/reading so many words before. don’t think i’ve heard/made sooo many phallic jokes in one night before.
