Haha. I do love L.J Smith too, but I've come to realise that I might just love the premise of the Night World more than her writing itself—I loved her books years ago, before they disappeared, and now reading them is nice in a familiar, comforting sort of way, but a LOT of LJS fanfic is awesome (perhaps awesomer than the original). But yes, I did (and still do) love the Night World, especially Black Dawn and Witchlight, and I adored Dark Visions. But still, when it comes to kids fantasy, Tamora Pierce has to be my favourite author, especially her newer books.

As for Ink Exchange, I'm so ready to get it, cos I loved Wicked Lovely, but all I can find is the hardcover, and I don't really like reading hardback books. :(

Hm... I haven't read Tamora Pierce since her Alanna book. My Baby Sister loves her, too. I think I may have to get back into those.

Okay, I'm sorry, but I'm going to go all geeky for a moment. I love L.J. Smith, especially her Night World series and her Dark Visions quartet. (I couldn't ever get into the Secret Circle or that game series for some reason.) Just to forewarn you about Night World, though: the last book of the series was never published. But they're re-releasing the series, so I'm hoping that means they'll finally, finally publish it.

Okay. Geekiness-Overdrive done. :)

If you get Melissa Marr's Ink Exchange, let us know how it is, would you? I keep picking that one up and sighing longingly.

I loved Poison Study. :) I don't think you'll be disappointed, and I had the opportunity to meet Maria V. Snyder, who's super-sweet considering she didn't call the men in white after I babbled and gushed like a crazy person.
