toothless—or almost, anyway. July 11, 2008

So it’s finally done! I finally got my two wisdom teeth removed this morning. Not fun. Not fun at all. Plus the dentist said, oh-so-innocently, that I should wait for the left side to go back to normal, then go back and remove the teeth on the right side. Great. I cannot wait.
I guess the thing to focus on is that it’s over, yay. The bad news, is, of course, that as I’m writing this, the anaesthesia is wearing off—I can now feel my face—and the pain is going to set in. Soon. And I hate pain. Very very much.
And, on top of it all, my mother has declared me under house arrest. Apparently, with the “gaping hole” in my mouth, if I get any sort of germs or virus, I could die.
But what the heck la. No point or use arguing with her—with mothers (or at least, with mine) you just can’t win for losing. So I’m missing the farewell thing at Tong Shui Cafe tonight, as well as tomorrow’s IKEA sojurn, damnit.
On a brighter note, I made a packet of Jell-o, cherry flavour—which everyone else I know loathes, which is great for me, cos it means no one will eat my favourite Jell-O flavour—which means I don’t have to share. heehee. there’s nothing but porridge, porridge, oats, and Jell-O on the horizon for me—I seriously cannot wait for everything to go back to normal so I can eat real food again.
Well, I would leave you with a picture of my teeth—but I didn’t bring them back with me, nor did I snap a picture at the dentist’s, so, too bad.
—toodles.
